2 men attempt self-immolation in Maharashtra
Two individuals attempted self-immolation in Maharashtra on Republic Day. Nitin Mujmule protested alleged irregularities in Beed Municipality while Vavdya Patil protested police inaction on illegal cattle transportation in Shirpur. Both attempts were thwarted by police, and the individuals were detained and later released.
