8 new ghats to give an immersive experience to Kumbh pilgrims
Eight new permanent ghats along the Ganga and Yamuna rivers, inspired by Kashi, Mathura, and Ayodhya, are constructed for the Maha Kumbh. Costing Rs 94 crore, they accommodate 1.2 lakh people, feature accessibility and amenities, and enhance pilgrimage experience despite construction challenges.
