Bengal budget proposes 2nd Kolkata airport near Kalyani, 3 new airports
Bengal's new budget heralds a significant aviation boost with plans for a second airport near Kolkata, aiming to ease congestion at the current facility. New airports are also slated for Purulia, Balurghat, and Malda under the UDAN scheme. Additionally, the Cooch Behar airport will be expanded, and land will be provided for the Hasimara and Kalaikunda Air Force Stations.
