Bhatkal doctor gets life term for terror plot before 2015 Barack Obama visit
A Bengaluru special court sentenced Dr Syed Ismail Afaq to life imprisonment and two associates to 10 years in prison for planning serial blasts targeting then US President Barack Obama's 2015 visit. The arrests, made in Jan 2015, led to the seizure of explosives and terror materials.
