Campaign to prevent open burning to begin on November 6 amid poor air quality in Delhi: Minister Gopal Rai
Delhi's environment minister, Gopal Rai, announced a new initiative to combat rising air pollution levels exceeding 400. Starting Wednesday, 588 teams will monitor open waste burning, while authorities have already issued Rs 63 lakh in fines for environmental violations since the Winter Action Plan's launch.
