FIR filed against comedian Yash for remarks during show
Comedian Yash Rathi is facing charges for using obscene language during a stand-up comedy act at IIT Bhilai's annual fest on November 15th. A video of the performance, showing Rathi using derogatory terms, went viral, prompting complaints from both attendees and the institute. IIT Bhilai director Rajiv Prakash expressed shock at the language used and announced a ban on future stand-up comedy shows. Police are currently investigating the incident.
