First suspected GBS death in Maharashtra, cases in Pune surge to 101
The Maharashtra health department reported possibly the first death associated with the Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) outbreak in Pune, with cases reaching 101. The outbreak has led to 16 patients on ventilators and a significant number of cases in children and the elderly. Authorities are investigating potential water contamination as a source.
