Girl injured after being attacked by bear in West Champaran
A 19-year-old girl, Phoolwanti Kumari, was grievously injured after a bear strayed from Valmiki Tiger Reserve and attacked her in West Champaran. The incident occurred as she collected fodder near her home. Villagers intervened, driving the bear away. Forest officials are working to return the animal to the reserve and have advised caution.
