How're world's trees doing? Here's an assessment
More than one-third of the world's tree species face extinction, according to a comprehensive assessment by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Island biodiversity is particularly vulnerable. Agriculture, logging, and urbanisation are significant threats, with climate change as an emerging concern. The findings were presented at the UN biodiversity conference in Colombia.
