In freezing temperatures, swimmers in China plunge into a river for health and joy
Hardy swimmers in northeast China's Harbin braved freezing temperatures for winter swimming, carving out pools in ice-covered rivers. Chen Xia travelled from Zhejiang province, despite having a cold, to join. Harbin's winter swimming culture dates back to the 1970s, with locals attributing their good health to this icy tradition.
