Karnataka high court rules on Mediclaim deductions in motor accident compensation cases
The Karnataka High Court ruled that Mediclaim policy amounts must be deducted from total compensation under medical expenses in motor accident cases. An insurer was directed to pay Rs 4,93,839 with interest, after deducting Rs 1.8 lakh Mediclaim reimbursement, to a victim in a 2008 accident.
