Karnataka mandates government permission for forest filming projects
Karnataka govt will mandate prior permission for filming in forest areas, including documentaries, TV serials, and social media videos. This comes after complaints about environmental damage during recent shoots. Existing multi-level permissions will be streamlined to protect wildlife and ecology. The Department of Information and Public Relations will handle the process.
