Following a failed assassination attempt on Kolkata councilman Sushanta Ghosh, police investigations have revealed a complex plot involving hired assassins from Bihar's notorious Pappu Chowdhary gang. The mastermind, Md Afroz, allegedly procured a scooter with a fake number plate weeks prior to the attack. Afroz claims the attempt was revenge for a property dispute, an allegation Ghosh denies.
