Libya's foreign minister suspended after meeting with Israel's chief diplomat
The first-ever meeting between Libya's top diplomats and Israel's top diplomats was sent for an investigation by Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, the leader of the government of national unity in Tripoli. Dbeibah remained vague when asked why Maongoush would be looked at. However, a 1957 legislation in Libya, which has historically been opposed to Israel, makes it unlawful to normalize relations with that country.
