Manisha Awhale appointed as 'first female' commissioner of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation
Manisha Awhale has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation, becoming the first woman to hold the position since 1996. Awhale, who previously worked with Pune Smart City, assumed her new role on Friday. She fulfilled her father's dream by becoming an IAS officer in 2018.
