Mira-Bhayander 'bottleneck' flyover opens months after lane controversy; MMRDA defends 4-lane-to-2-lane design
The much-debated Mira-Bhayander flyover, which faced criticism for its apparent lane reduction, has officially opened to traffic. Inaugurated by local BJP leaders, the structure aims to significantly ease congestion on a busy route. Despite earlier concerns about a bottleneck, authorities maintain the design, part of the Metro Line 9 project, is an engineered solution to site constraints and will improve commuting for residents.
