Now Kandhamal tribals can sell minor forest products at govt mandis
Kandhamal district administration will open mandis in each panchayat next month to procure non-timber forest products at Minimum Support Price (MSP). This initiative aims to prevent distress sales and eliminate middlemen, with 21 minor forest products identified for procurement. Awareness campaigns will inform tribal communities about MSP and the new procurement centers.
