Over 22.7 lakh pilgrims visit Maha Kumbh on day 8
By the eighth day of Mahakumbh, over 22.7 lakh pilgrims visited Sangam Triveni, with significant dates still to come. Despite cold weather, attendance remained high. A fire incident at the Gita Press camp caused no casualties, destroying 70-80 huts and 8-10 tents.
