Punjab got highest funds for stubble management: Centre
The Centre allocated the highest funds for stubble burning management to Punjab, with Rs 1,681.45 crore out of Rs 3,623 crore distributed among four states. This has enabled the purchase of crop residue machinery and the establishment of custom hiring centres. Punjab finance minister seeks additional budgetary support from the Centre.
