SC asks states, HCs to ensure adequate number of toilets in all court premises
The Supreme Court has mandated states and high courts to construct separate toilet facilities for males, females, transgender, and persons with disabilities in all court premises and tribunals. The bench of J B Pardiwala and R Mahadevan emphasized that proper sanitation is a fundamental right and vital for a dignified and fair judicial environment, particularly in rural district courts.
