Shigella spreads in Kerala: 10 more cases push concern, while Nipah containment continues and Ebola watch intensifies

Kerala is grappling with a Shigella outbreak, reporting 10 new cases on Monday, bringing the total to 226. Kozhikode is the most affected district. Meanwhile, the state has successfully contained the Nipah virus, with all symptomatic contacts testing negative. Enhanced surveillance for Ebola is also in place at entry points, with travellers from affected regions advised to quarantine.
