Six FIRs registered against NTK leader Seeman for controversial remarks on Periyar EV Ramasamy
Coimbatore rural police filed six FIRs against Naam Tamilar Katchi leader Seeman for his inflammatory remarks about social reformer Periyar EV Ramasamy, which led to protests. Complaints were lodged by Dravidar Kazhagam and other organizations, resulting in Seeman being booked under sections 192 and 353 (2) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita Act.
