Tamil Cinema witnessed a slow year, with Thalapathy Vijay's 'The Greatest of All Time' emerging as the top grosser, amassing over Rs 252 crore. Sivakartikeyan's 'Amaran' secured the second position with Rs 189 crore, while Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan' and Dhanush's 'Raayan' followed. Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' disappointed, grossing a mere Rs 81 crore.
