‘I’m a black African’: Commonwealth Games boxer Aziz Abdul’s racism claim rejected after headbutt disqualification

Ugandan boxer Aziz Abdul’s Commonwealth Games campaign ended in controversy after he was disqualified against England’s Damar Thomas and accused officials of unfair treatment. Abdul claimed racism played a role in the decision, but Commonwealth Sport president Donald Rukare rejected the allegations, insisting the ruling was a legitimate field-of-play decision and that athletes were treated fairly.
