A new study has found that COPD among non-smokers in rural Lucknow is almost three times the national average. Researchers from KGMU say environmental and occupational factors, like indoor air pollution from cooking with biomass fuels, are major contributors. They stress the need for community-based screenings and preventive strategies to address this growing health concern.
