‘Posto diye kumro bhaja chai’: 8-hour high-rise drama ends with youth rescued from Siliguri's BSNL tower
A youth was rescued from a 270ft BSNL tower in Siliguri after eight hours. He demanded pumpkin fried with poppy seeds and a chopper ride. Rescuers used a drone for communication and then mountaineers to bring him down. The youth was safely brought to the ground around 11:30 pm. Investigations are underway to establish his identity and security lapses.
