‘Released excess water’: Karnataka tells SC amid Tamil Nadu’s Cauvery plea
Karnataka informed the Supreme Court it is releasing excess Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. The state confirmed compliance with the Cauvery Water Management Authority's direction. Tamil Nadu sought immediate release of its due share of water. The Supreme Court asked parties to submit updated data on water levels. The next hearing is scheduled for September fifteenth.
