14 years after mob kills Dalit woman, 21 get life sentence in Karnataka
In a 14-year legal battle, a Tumakuru court sentenced 21 people to life imprisonment for the murder of a 45-year-old Dalit woman, R Honamma, in 2010. Honamma was attacked and killed by a mob following a dispute over her plans to build a temple and a police complaint she filed against some villagers.
