3 from Surat cheat clothing e-commerce site of Rs 5.5 crore
Bengaluru cybercrime police arrested three members of a Surat-based gang that defrauded online marketplace Meesho of Rs 5.5 crore by exploiting refund vulnerabilities. The accused used false refund claims and unboxing videos to receive payments for low-cost items. The gang used multiple sim cards and bank accounts to hide their tracks, but the main perpetrators are still at large.
