41 Tamil Nadu fishermen released from Sri Lankan custody safely return home
Forty-one fishermen from Tamil Nadu returned home after being released from Sri Lankan custody. They arrived at Chennai airport on an Air India flight from Colombo. The Tamil Nadu Fisheries Department facilitated their journey back to their hometowns. The fishermen were imprisoned for fishing in international waters, and their release was secured through diplomatic discussions.
