7 years after inter-caste marriage, Dalit man stabbed to death by wife’s brother in Rajkot
Vimal Vaniya, a Dalit individual, was tragically murdered near Bhaktinagar Circle in Rajkot in an alleged act of violence stemming from familial opposition to his inter-caste marriage. The primary suspect, his wife's brother Kamlesh, reportedly engaged in an argument with Vimal before fatally attacking him with a knife and fleeing on a motorcycle. Vimal's wife, Sheetal, disclosed that Kamlesh had made threats related to their union.
