86% of Goa schools don’t have special kids-friendly toilets: Centre
There is an alarming deficit of child-friendly toilets for special needs students across Goa's schools. Currently, only 14.1% offer adequate facilities, significantly lower than the national average. This shortfall affects 4,719 special needs students' ability to participate in mainstream education. While government schools are making strides with accessible ramps, private and aided establishments are lacking behind.
