A 125-million-year-old dinosaur from Southern England's then-Swamps was named after a 'Surrey dad'

A newly identified dinosaur species, named Paludohadros proudlovii, honors Will Proudlove, a Surrey dad who passed away at 35. Proudlove managed the Ewhurst brickworks where the dinosaur fossil was discovered, although he never saw it. His fascination with fossils was known among his family, making this naming a significant legacy. The dinosaur lived around 125 million years ago and was recognized by researchers only recently.
