Adil Hussain slams cinema for feeding trash and objectifying women
Adil Hussain has criticised cinema’s objectification of women, saying society has failed to teach men respect. In an exclusive interaction with Mid-Day, the actor, who stars alongside Parineeti Chopra in Netflix’s Reporting Live, discussed women’s safety, corruption and the responsibility of artists to challenge social attitudes. He said films often portray women as objects of desire rather than complete human beings, while maintaining that he remains optimistic about change despite the slow pace of social evolution.
