Bengaluru prison row: DIG arrested over illegal release of life-term convict, parole violations

Somashekhar, a deputy inspector general of Karnataka Prisons, was arrested for serious corruption allegations. The officer was involved in the illegal release of a murderer using forged Supreme Court documents. Additional accusations include sexually exploiting the convict's wife and granting unlawful paroles.
