Bhubaneswar flood mitigation: IIT Roorkee master plan targets 13 vulnerable areas for permanent waterlogging solutions
Bhubaneswar's housing and urban development department is implementing a comprehensive flood mitigation plan for 13 vulnerable areas, based on an IIT Roorkee study. This initiative shifts from temporary fixes to permanent, science-based drainage redesign, with ongoing projects in Iskcon, Nayapalli, Bomikhal, and Rasulgarh corridors.
