Firefighters from Devgadh Baria were unexpectedly dispatched to clean BJP MLA Bachu Khabad's bungalow in Pipero village. The fire truck traveled 24 kilometers before arriving at the location, where Khabad's staff requested the cleaning. Authorities later charged Khabad’s son, Balvant, Rs 2,700 for the service after the fire chief ordered them to stop. Congress leaders expressed concern over the appropriateness and safety of the fire crew's actions.
