BMC mayor election unlikely before 2nd week of Feb as BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde) corporators yet complete mandatory registration
The Mumbai mayoral election is delayed. Corporators from BJP and Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena are yet to complete their registration. This process is now expected next week. A minimum seven-day notice is required before a special meeting can be called. This means the mayoral and deputy mayoral elections will likely happen after February 10.
