BMC seeks land for stray dog shelters to comply with Supreme Court directives
Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation is seeking land from Khurda collector to establish permanent shelters for stray dogs, adhering to a Supreme Court order. Temporary kennels will be utilised while permanent facilities for varying dog capacities are developed. The initiative includes sterilisation, vaccination, and lifelong care for the animals, with mass vaccination set to begin soon.
