Centre: Not enforcing ban on 'ferocious' dog breeds, sought public input amid legal challenges
The Centre informed the Bombay High Court it is not enforcing the March 2024 ban on 23 'ferocious dog breeds' and has issued a public notice inviting suggestions. The ban, challenged by the Animal Rescue Trust, was deemed premature by the NGO for lack of stakeholder consultation. The Centre will consider objections before making a decision.
