Centre scraps Rs 2.5/litre petrol export duty, hikes diesel levy to Rs 11.5
The Centre took significant steps on October 31 by eliminating the Rs 2.5 per litre duty on petrol exports. In contrast, the excise duties for high-speed diesel and aviation turbine fuel were ramped up; diesel duties increased from Rs 8.5 to Rs 11.5 per litre, and ATF duties from Rs 10.5 to Rs 11.
