Gnanasekaran, recently arrested for raping an engineering student at Anna University, is a repeat offender with a history of convictions and pending cases. His familiarity with the campus, through his wife who works there, facilitated his access. Chennai police swiftly apprehended him and are investigating the leak of the FIR containing the victim's identity.
