Coaching Centres to Face Penalties for False Claims, Misleading Ads: Consumer Protection Authority Announces New Rules for Advertising
The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) in India has introduced new guidelines to curb misleading advertisements by coaching centers. These guidelines prohibit false promises like guaranteed job placements or 100% selection rates. Coaching centers are now required to provide accurate information about their courses, faculty, and fees, and must obtain consent before using testimonials.
