Cops seize Rs 17 crore worth drugs; 165 arrested in Thane
In a massive drug crackdown in Thane, police registered 3,911 cases and arrested 165 traffickers over the past year, seizing drugs worth Rs 17.42 crore. Cannabis was the most seized substance, followed by mephedrone and charas. Authorities also confiscated non-prescribed cough syrups and conducted awareness sessions in schools to combat drug abuse.
