Cyclone Fengal: Chennai fire and rescue teams mobilized for emergencies
Fire and rescue officials responded to 21 distress calls caused by heavy rainfall in Chennai, including 11 tree falls and flood evacuations. Prepared for the approaching Fengal cyclone, they deployed 781 personnel and numerous emergency resources to handle incidents. The IMD advised residents to stay indoors with wind speeds expected up to 90 kmph.
