'Dead' Karnataka man fights 17-months battle to reclaim his 'life'
Ganapati Khachu Kakatkar, a 62-year-old from Savagaon in Belagavi, faced severe hardships for 17 months as he was mistakenly declared dead in government records. This error, stemming from a clerical mistake, prevented him from receiving essential benefits. After discovering the error, he sought help from the deputy commissioner, who promised immediate resolution.
