Delhi’s power consumer base climbs to 73.6 lakh
Delhi's electricity consumer base surged by nearly 21 lakh to 73.6 lakh by 2024-25, with domestic users dominating. Power distribution efficiency dramatically improved, slashing AT&C losses to 5.9% from 52%. Peak demand also rose significantly. The government is actively promoting rooftop solar, with enhanced subsidies and mandatory installations in new buildings.
