Did Vetrimaaran refuse award at Tamil Nadu State Film Awards?
Director Vetrimaaran skipped the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards ceremony. He was to receive an award for 'Asuran' dialogues. Vetrimaaran requested the award be given to writer Suka, who co-wrote the dialogues. The selection committee did not accept this. Vetrimaaran's principled stand has drawn praise. He is currently working on 'Arasan' with Silambarasan.
