EC reshuffle in poll-bound West Bengal: Chief secretary, home secretary removed; Ajay Kumar Nand appointed Kolkata top cop
Ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections, the Election Commission has removed Chief Secretary Nandini Chakravorty and Home Secretary Jagdish Prasad Meena. Dushyant Nariala has been appointed as the new chief secretary, and Sanghamitra Ghosh as principal secretary of Home and Hill Affairs. Ajay Kumar Nand is the new Kolkata police commissioner.
