'First survey in 36 years': Kolkata's Howrah bridge to be shut tonight for health audit
Howrah Bridge in Kolkata is undergoing its first comprehensive health audit in two decades. The iconic bridge will be closed for five hours on Saturday night to facilitate the inspection. The audit aims to identify any structural fatigue and will be conducted by railway undertaking RITES and other experts. The last such study was carried out in 1983.
